Robotics and industry,
What solutions for the industry of tomorrow
What is industrial robotics?
The industry is constantly evolving and the robotization of installations and machines plays a considerable role! Since the 1960s, robots began to appear in the industrial sector. The very first industrial robot appeared in the United States in a General Motors factory in New Jersey in 1961. However, the first robotic production lines only appeared during the 1970s, particularly in the field of welding. The automation of certain tasks, previously carried out by humans, which are now carried out in a programmed and automated manner, allows production lines to operate better on a daily basis, increase yield and flexibility as well as better product quality. From assembly to packaging, from checking parts to inspecting manufacturing defects of all kinds, industrial robots multi-task.
What purpose ? First of all, a human aspect, since thanks to the robotization of manufacturing lines, working conditions have been able to be improved, in particular thanks to a reduction in arduousness and greater safety but also a financial objective since productivity gains increase. and flexibility improves. There are several types of industrial robots: Articulated, Cartesian, cylindrical, delta, polar robots, etc. The robot is generally composed of an articulated arm (like a human arm), a control bay and a programming console. Of course, the robot cannot operate alone and it therefore requires programming, carried out by a specialist.
How did robotics enable the advent of factory 4.0?
Towards the democratization of industrial robotics: it is no longer only reserved for large groups, but also for smaller companies! Industrial robotics is exploding and by 2023 nearly one in four companies will be equipped with robots. Increasingly simple and rapid installation and configuration, now carried out by integrators specialized in different areas of the industry, now allow easier access to these technologies. One of the advantages of our group is to work in collaboration with numerous integrators and installers who offer turnkey solutions.
Meeting your needs with robotics
Industrial robotics has developed significantly over the years and now makes it possible to meet the industrial needs of a large number of companies. Heavier loads, more precise and specific functions, faster and more efficient, these new robotic machines allow a significant gain in productivity and performance for your factory. More and more companies are deciding to invest in these technologies that put humans at the heart of the system, with manufacturers offering increasingly innovative solutions.
